Health benefits of Gajak

Gajak is a dessert which originated in Madhya Pradesh. It is mostly consumed in winter seasons. It is a dry sweet made from sesame seeds, ground nut & jaggery (gur). You can consume it 1-2 piece a day i.e. 1 piece in lunch and one piece in dinner.

  1. In winters til and jaggery present in gajak increase the metabolism rate in the body. Which helps to reduce weight.
  2. Till and jaggery present in gajak helps to increase the immunity so that we can get rid of cold and cough.
  3. Calcium present in til and jaggery makes the muscles strong by which we can get rid of arthritis. 
  4. Sesamolin present in til helps in keeping the blood pressure normal and get rid of BP problem.
  5. Combination of healthy til and jaggery is rich in minerals like potassium and magnesium.It keeps the liver healthy.
  6. Fibers are present in gajak , til and jaggery present in it maintain the digestion and get rid of stomach problem.
  7. Minerals like zinc and selenium and anti-oxidants are present in Gajak, which helps to slow down the problems of old age.
